New Version of IT-GRC Software Features Extensible Publishing, Implementation Priority, Controls Inheritance and Enhanced POA&M Support
ASHBURN, Va. – March 31, 2010 — Telos® Corporation is releasing enhancements today to Xacta® IA Manager, the federal government’s premier solution for IT governance, risk management and compliance (IT GRC). Key new features include a new publishing system for documentation, a more versatile implementation of controls inheritance, the concept of implementation priority, and enhanced Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&M) support.
“We’re excited to provide users with a fresh, and highly innovative, publishing system in the newest version of the software,” said Justin Furniss, director of product management for Telos Corporation. “Extensible publishing allows for fast and easy modification of existing templates and much simpler creation of new ones. Additionally, the new publishing functionality will also allow users to spend less time fretting over formatting reports and more time focusing on improving the security posture of their organizations.”
Standard templates for DIACAP documentation and the newly introduced CAP-IT format will be available at the time of release in the new publishing format.
The new version of Xacta IA Manager introduces the concept of implementation priority in support of the much-awaited NIST 800-53 rev. 3. It also includes a more versatile implementation of controls inheritance, allowing for any project to inherit controls from any other project in the software. Finally, POA&M support has been greatly enhanced to allow for documentation to be generated at either the control or the test group level.
Xacta IA Manager is an industry leader in IT GRC and includes continuous assessment functionality within its feature set. Telos introduced its patented continuous assessment functionality to Xacta IA Manager in November 2002.
Customers with existing licenses for Xacta IA Manager can download the new versions beginning today.
