Company Awarded $3.6 Million NETCENTS Task Order for Hardware, Software and Services
ASHBURN, Va. – June 22, 2011 – Telos® Corporation was recently awarded a $3.6 million task order by the Air Force’s Electronic Systems Center Cyber Integration Division at Hanscom AFB, Mass. The company will modernize the Air Force Information Transport System Increment 2 Aruba Operating Systems and Juniper Authentication System at 57 bases around the world, including hardware, software and services. The award was competed and awarded through the Network Centric Solutions (NETCENTS) contract vehicle.
“We have recently received a number of awards for secure wireless work under the NETCENTS contract vehicle,” said Brendan Malloy, senior vice president and general manager of the company’s Secure Networks group. “This modernization effort will further the warfighters’ ability to accomplish the mission by equipping them with the newest technologies that are available.”
Telos serves as a prime contractor on the five-year NETCENTS contract vehicle, which was recently extended by the government for an additional two years. NETCENTS is an indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract that provides the Air Force, the Department of Defense and other federal agencies with a single vehicle through which to buy network-centric information technologies, networking equipment, and services, as well as voice, video and data communications hardware and software and telephony solutions from preferred contractors. NETCENTS provides a proven competitive edge for the federal government by reducing the time-to-market for critical networking and communications equipment and services.
