Former Airport Security Administrator and TSA Manager Brings Broad Experience to PS&S Committee Leadership
ASHBURN, Va. – November 5, 2013 – Telos ID’s Dawn E. Lucini has been elected to serve as a member of the Airports Council International – North America’s Public Safety and Security Steering Group for a four-year term beginning January 1, 2014.
The Steering Group serves as leadership for ACI-NA’s Public Safety and Security Committee, which Ms. Lucini chaired in 2008.The committee’s mission is to enhance the safety and security of airports by providing recommendations to industry and government for aviation safety and security policies, identifying and promoting best practices in aviation safety and security, and identifying and/or developing educational and technological resources that help accomplish airport safety and security objectives.
“Dawn brings both depth and perspective to the PS&S Committee leadership,’ said Bonnie Hankins, PS&S Steering Group member and airport security coordinator for Sacramento International Airport. “An extremely accomplished veteran of aviation security, Dawn has experienced the industry from practically every angle – as a TSA official, security lead at a major international airport, and an aviation service provider.”
The committee will draw on Ms. Lucini’s deep industry and association experience, which includes years of dedicated service as both an employee and member of ACI-NA. She began her aviation career at ACI-NA, rising to senior manager, regulatory affairs responsible for assisting in the strategic development of ACI-NA’s policy on Public Safety & Security and Facilitation issues. Ms. Lucini is also the former airport security administrator for the McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas, Nevada, where she was responsible for the airport’s security program, policies and procedures and oversaw the airport’s explosive detection canine unit and the badging and fingerprinting office.
In her role at Telos ID, Ms. Lucini serves as the company’s liaison to the aviation industry, expanding industry knowledge of the company’s aviation security capabilities, which include channeling services, integration and biometrics. Ms. Lucini is also responsible for solidifying corporate relationships with technology providers that support the greater aviation community.
