Brandewie, Badders to Bring Expertise to Conference Highlighting the Securing of People and Assets, Other Homeland Security Issues
ASHBURN, Va. – January 27, 2009 –Telos® Corporation announced today that two of its executives, Robert Brandewie and Tom Badders, are scheduled to speak at the GovSec IP Summit in Washington, D.C., on March 11.
Brandewie, Senior Vice President of Identity and Security Solutions for Telos Identity Management Solutions, LLC, will speak on the “Protecting Buildings” panel from 1:15 to 2:05 p.m. at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. Brandewie assists government organizations in effectively meeting increased security challenges with innovative services and software solutions and previously served in the government for 32 years. While at the Defense Manpower Data Center, he was responsible for the oversight of the largest and most comprehensive automated personnel database in the Department of Defense and the management of a dozen major operational programs. He was instrumental in the effort to design, develop and field the Common Access Smartcard as the new DoD identification card. Brandewie will share his vast experience and address identity management, access management and biometrics on this panel.
Badders, Director of Emerging Technologies and Government Relations for Telos’ Secure Networks Division, will serve as a member of the “Border Protection” panel, which is scheduled from 10:30 to 11:20 a.m. at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. As an industry guru working in federal government systems and network integration for more than 32 years, Badders is a subject matter expert in the area of secure wireless network communications for fixed and deployed environments as well as for the application of wireless technology to voice, video and data operational environments. Badders will discuss video surveillance and other technologies that help to address border security challenges.
The GovSec IP Summit, presented by Security Products and Network-Centric Security magazines, will review best practices in security and will showcase the latest security technology innovations. It will be co-located with the FOSE 2009 Conference and Exposition (March 10 – 12, 2009), providing a comprehensive offering of the latest technology solutions, education and best practices featuring the best and brightest in public sector IT, security, law enforcement and emergency preparedness.
