Security Assessments to be Conducted under NETCENTS-1 Contract Vehicle
ASHBURN, Va. – July 18, 2012 – The senior information assurance officer of the United States Air Force (AF SIAO) has appointed Telos® Corporation to act as a qualified commercial agent of the certifying authority (ACA).
A NETCENTS small business prime contractor, Telos provides cybersecurity and risk management services and solutions throughout the DoD. As a commercial ACA, Telos serves as an independent and trusted agent of the AF SIAO and the Air Force certifying authority to conduct system security assessments, test and evaluate systems, and develop the requisite documentation in support of the DOD’s DIACAP accreditation process.
“Telos’ heritage as a provider of cybersecurity services reaches back to the earliest federal mandates for technology security,” said Brendan Malloy, Telos senior vice president and general manager, cyber operations and defense. “It is only natural that the Air Force would continue to count on us for their ongoing risk assessments.”
Telos serves as a small business prime contractor on the NETCENTS contract vehicle, an indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract that provides the Air Force, the Department of Defense and other federal agencies with a single vehicle through which to buy network-centric information technologies, networking equipment, and services, as well as voice, video and data communications hardware and software and telephony solutions from preferred contractors. NETCENTS provides a proven competitive edge for the federal government by reducing the time-to-market for critical cybersecurity, networking and communications equipment and services. The government recently announced its intent to extend the contract ordering period to March 2013 and allow for work to be performed through March of 2015.
