AMHS Training

To ensure your organization receives all the benefits of AMHS, Telos® offers specialized training for users and system administrators. Held periodically at Telos Corporation headquarters in Ashburn, Virginia, these classes give participants clear how-to information, guided demonstrations, and practical hands-on experience. AMHS training at Telos headquarters requires a minimum of four students to be registered to hold a class. This may affect how soon your training can be scheduled. 

We will also provide training on-site at your location with a minimum of six and a maximum of 12 students for both System Administrator and User Training.

AMHS Training Courses

  • Telos AMHS System Administrator Training Course

    This four-day course provides participants with an introduction to the theoretical concepts, technical functionality, and administrative operations that are required to configure, administer, and manage an AMHS system. Participants will be given lectures, participate in guided demonstrations, and create solutions to practical exercises in order to familiarize themselves with the AMHS and its components.

    Who Should Attend?

    • Professionals without prior AMHS experience who are new to the AMHS, as well as experienced messaging professionals who are revisiting the AMHS, are encouraged to attend this course in order to gain insight into the new functionality and features of AMHS.
    • This course was designed to provide useful technical and conceptual information to those responsible for their organization’s messaging systems. Topics include information regarding system implementation and architecture, system administration, troubleshooting, and disaster recovery.
    • Attendees should have a working knowledge of Windows Server 2003 and be familiar with networking technology and concepts prior to attending this course.

    What will you learn?

    Upon successful completion of this course, attendees will:

    • Gain a conceptual understanding of the AMHS and its components
    • Gain practical experience configuring, managing, and troubleshooting an AMHS system
    • Gain insight into the requirements and best practices associated with the implementation of, or migration to, an AMHS system.

    Course Topics include:

    • Overview of the AMHS interface to DMS
    • Navigation of the Web-based User client for sending and receiving messages
    • Navigation of the Web-based Administration Client for configuring the AMHS Application
    • Management and Troubleshooting of the AMHS Server and Operating System
    • Configuration and implementation of AMHS failover techniques

    Training Certificates will be provided upon course completion.

  • Telos AMHS User Training Course

    This four-hour course provides participants with an introduction and how-to approach for an optimal messaging experience.  Participants will be given lectures, participate in guided demonstrations, and create solutions to practical exercises in order to familiarize themselves with the AMHS on-line user interface.

    Who Should Attend?

    • Professionals without prior AMHS experience who are new to the AMHS as well as experienced messaging professionals who are revisiting the AMHS are encouraged to attend this course, in order to gain insight into the new functionality and features of AMHS.
    • This course was designed to provide useful and practical information to those responsible for using an organization’s messaging system of record. Topics include information regarding composing, saving and searching messages. Learn how to set user preference settings to personalize your user accounts to fit your needs.
    • Attendees should have basic computing skills.

    What will you learn?

    Upon successful completion of this course, attendees will:

    • Gain a conceptual understanding of the AMHS online interface
    • Gain practical experience using the interface and all the many bells and whistles
    • Gain insight into the requirements and best practices associated with organizational messaging

    Course Topics include:

    • Overview of the AMHS interface to DMS
    • Navigation of the Web-based User Client for sending and receiving messages
    • Navigation of the Web-based User Client for retrospective search
    • Customization and set-up of your AMHS account to fit your requirements
