Xacta 360 User Training
The Xacta 360 User Training Course is a three-day program providing a user perspective overview of Xacta 360. Professionals with a role in their organization’s Assessment and Authorization process (A&A) or other security assessment processes using Xacta 360 should attend.
The following topics are covered through lectures and extensive hands-on labs:
- Getting Started in Xacta 360: Navigation and common interface features of the application.
- The NIST RMF Workflow and the Workflow Approval Process Overview
- Categorize Information System: Collect and enter high-level data about your system such as system boundary, data types, and component groups.
- Select Security Controls: Choose the security regulations and applicable requirements for your system. Learn how to establish common control inheritance.
- Implement Security Controls: Import your equipment inventory and record the implementation status of your applicable controls.
- Assess Security Controls: Develop and review a test plan. Record test results and document risk analysis and POA&Ms.
- Authorize Information System: Publish and assemble the Authorization Package. Record the authorization decision.
- Monitor Security Controls: Continuously monitor and document changes to your system during the authorization period.

Xacta Continuum User Training
This two-day course focuses on the general operation of Xacta Continuum. Students will learn how Xacta Continuum works to automatically and continuously monitor, update, and test the equipment and devices within their systems.
The following topics are covered through lectures and extensive hands-on labs:
- Interface and Navigation: Navigation and common interface features of Xacta Continuum.
- Content Dictionaries & Adaptive Mapping: Overview of the content libraries/dictionaries that are used to identify weaknesses and vulnerabilities in scan results; Discuss Adaptive Mapping and how it works in relation to the Content Dictionaries.
- Data Collection & Asset Inventory: Explains the various methods of data collection and the options available when it comes to managing your asset inventory.
- Scan Results & Control Compliance: Analyze data from automated testing and scan results.
- Managing Remediation Plans: Create and manage remediation plans needed to address the vulnerabilities and compliance issues identified on assets.
- Reporting: Generate reports that allow users to view inventory status and test results, among others.
- Working with Xacta 360: How Xacta 360 and Xacta Continuum integrate to accomplish continuous assessment on your asset inventory.
