Telos Corporation released today Xacta® 360 version 1.9 and Xacta.ioTM version 1.10, further refining and modernizing the industry leading Xacta® cyber risk management and continuous compliance platform. This release introduces enhancements to Xacta’s Okta user import functions, API integration and data mesh, user-interface commercialization & internationalization, as well as an increased population expression character limit for greater flexibility in defining custom query formulas and complex data pulls.
In response to customers’ requests for improved single sign-on (SSO) capabilities and to better delegate temporary users, Xacta now has a capability to import users from Okta and natively authenticate those users using Okta credentials. By importing temporary users through Okta, Xacta administrators no longer need to assign these user groups permissions within the Xacta platform, saving headache and confusion surrounding temporary user access control. This enhancement also expands user import capability for other identity providers such as Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP).
Telos has given heavy focus to enriching Xacta’s API in previous product releases, and this release is no different. Xacta’s versatile API gives customers the flexibility they need to customize and configure integrations in their cybersecurity tech stack, ingest key security data, and push metrics to business intelligence platforms for data visualization. The most recent API updates include:
- The ability to configure the number of events queried when making an API call to pull assets and vulnerability data from Splunk to streamline data pulls.
- Users can also define the scope for “batch imports” to limit the number of events imported, rather than pulling everything in one large data dump. This improvement helps with data targeting, while also reducing overhead and unnecessary data sifting.
- Support for automated ingestion and closure of remediation items, as well as new endpoints to dynamically associate identified risks and vulnerabilities with remediation items, further enhancing and automating the remediation planning process.
Finally, in meeting a need for our commercial and international customers, users can now define different date formats depending on sector or country requirements. Specifically, prior to this release users could only use mm/dd/yyyy format, but now Xacta users can customize the date format to reflect any standard used by various countries or international governments.
