Cloud Provider’s Advanced Technology Partner Meets Rigorous Quality and Adoption Standards
Ashburn, Va. – August 15, 2018 – Telos® Corporation, a leading provider of continuous security solutions and services for the world’s most security-conscious organizations, has achieved government and security competency designations from Amazon Web Services (AWS) just four months after achieving Advanced Technology Partner status.
“We’re proud to work with Telos whose solutions accelerate and ease the security compliance process for our customers,” said Troy Bertram, general manager of business development, Worldwide Public Sector at AWS. “Alleviating the complexity associated with achieving compliance is paramount for so many of our customers. We’re pleased to bring our customers greater choice and increased confidence in cloud technology solutions through the AWS Competency Program.”
The approval process for each achievement is rigorous, requiring extensive information and proof of competency. It begins with a specialized review by AWS, which includes customer references, solution capabilities, solution architecture and solution security. Each section demands exhaustive evidence of product adoption and results to ensure adherence to the high standards the designations convey. This strategic review uses pillars of operational excellence, security, reliability, performance efficiency and cost optimization to promote the building of dependable systems in the cloud.
“Our journey through the rigorous process to reach the Advanced Technology tier of APN and to achieve the security and government competencies represents Telos’ longstanding commitment to deliver superior solutions for our customers,” said Rick Tracy, the company’s chief security officer and co-inventor of the original Xacta technology. “Xacta 360 remains the premier cyber risk management solution for cloud, as well as on-premises and hybrid environments.”
Xacta 360 is a cyber risk management platform deployed throughout the intelligence community, federal civilian agencies, the Department of Defense and commercial entities across the globe. The solution has met the necessary prerequisites and the substantial requirements on the Government Competency Partner Validation Checklist and the Security Technology Partner Validation Checklist. Also cited by the AWS competency review team is the extensive use of Xacta 360 for risk management and compliance of the Intelligence Community’s highly secure AWS cloud region, where the solution helped reduce Authorization to Operate (ATO) process times from months to weeks, as well as eliminate four to six weeks of manual effort per project when compliance regulations were updated and avoid months of manual effort identifying, inheriting and managing controls.
