Xacta Automated Message Handling System (AMHS) provides the precise control required for maximum efficiency in handling organizational messages within your command or agency.
Xacta Automated Message Handling System (AMHS) from Telos was developed as a part of the next-generation of the Defense Messaging System (DMS), providing a cost-efficient Web-based solution that greatly simplifies configuration management, system administration, and customer interface to the DoD record messaging system. The same technology has been expanded to handle non-DMS messages ranging from SMTP e-mail to newswire services as well as to incorporate a number of agency-specific formats and protocols.
AMHS routes incoming messages to the right user by looking at addressing information, message content, and the content of attachments to each message. The use of profiling -- delivering messages based on content and information type other than by address -- has proved to be a highly effective means for determining internal message distribution.
In addition to near-real-time message delivery, AMHS indexes and creates a searchable archive of all inbound and outbound traffic for future reference. AMHS provides intuitive tools for searching and retrieving messages from the archive while protecting against unauthorized access. And, AMHS provides an easy way to create, coordinate, and release outgoing messages.
Telos also offers a tactical extension of AMHS, the Xacta Tactical Messaging Capability (XTMC), which allows deployed units to send and receive critical organizational-level messages within the theater of operation and beyond, using Web-based technology. The XTMC solution removes the necessity for making directory changes when an organization or individual is deployed. Messages continue to be delivered to the correct account in garrison and forwarded automatically by “XTMS-Aware” AMHS to the tactical system.
AMHS supports over 70 organizations around the world, including the Joint Staff and all Combatant Commands, and has been selected as the enterprise messaging solution for all services in the DoD. Accredited to meet DCID 6/3 for Protection Level 3 (DCID 6/3 PL3), AMHS is also used by the intelligence community. Outside of the DoD, the AMHS is used by the U.S. Coast Guard and FAA. An export version of AMHS is currently being made operational in Canada for the Ministry of National Defence and is also available for sales to other non-U.S. customers. |
